Correct selection of filters

Correct selection of filters

Who has the choice, who finds it also often difficult to find the right.

Quite often we are asked which filter cartridge because actually would be the right.
Basically, fit all subsequent carbonit filter cartridges due to their design in all carbonite SanUno, Vario and DUO filter housing. But choosing the right carbonit filter cartridge is crucial indeed for optimum water quality. Carbonite filter cartridges differ for other available filter cartridges in particular by two decisive filter characteristics.
Firstly, the screening effect of the filter cartridge creates purity for undissolved substances such as suspended solids, sediments, germs and bacteria. This "sieve" holds all particles and contaminants on the respective size of the pore openings (similar to a colander) back, and is expressed in nanometers (nm).
On the other dissolved pollutants (polar pesticides, agricultural residues, chlorine, drug residues, and more) are removed by the adsorption of activated carbon. The ability of the adsorption of these pollutants is becoming increasingly important due to the increasing environmental pollution. It is called adsorptive retention. The adsorptive retention rate (AAR) indicates how high retention compared to carbonite NFP Premium filter cartridge is.

Conclusion:

The standard filter cartridge CARBONIT NFP Premium is the optimal combination of sieving and Adsoptionswirkung and ideally suited water filtering. Their high proportion of activated carbon and the low water flow to ensure a safe removal of all dissolved pollutants. As a rule, therefore, the CARBONIT NFP Premium filter cartridge should be used.
However, since the flow rate is limited to about 2 liters per minute, the CARBONIT NFP Premium filter cartridge is only for filter systems that filter water and hot water are different (SanUno or Vario / DUO with separate faucet for filtered water or 3-way valve). Unless you have a carbonite drinking water filter installed directly into the cold-water line, so filter all cold water, you need a faster throughput. For this purpose, you can find a variety of filter cartridges that combine a membrane for screening action and activated carbon for adsorptive containment and grant so faster flow.
In some cases, eg. As at low water pressure or high contamination, the use of a combination filter cartridge is usually unavoidable. To this end, we advise you individually.
