This 5 inch filter cartridge is equipped with a powerful oil and chemical absorbent for absorbing oils and chemicals. The special properties of this material ensure that all of these and other hydrophobic liquids are permanently bound.

Bilge water protection filter

The 5 inch bilge filter cartridge filters oil, petrol or diesel from the bilge water and uses a material developed in Germany which, due to its nature, attracts oil molecules and binds them permanently in the cartridge. This filter cartridge meets the requirements for oil binders according to the DEKRA test report (100 g of filter material bind 0.655 liters of oil) in terms of oil binding and holding capacity. It has a capacity of 500 g , which corresponds to the average amount of oil in approx. 12,500 liters of bilge water / bilge water .

Proper disposal

The 5-inch oil separator filter cartridge absorbs up to six times its weight in oils and keeps them permanently. Used filter cartridges must be properly disposed of as oil-contaminated waste.
