Machine oils, gear oil, other oils and fuels (petrol, diesel) are deposited in the bilge water of a ship and are the main cause of pollution in water. Therefore, filtering the bilge water is essential.

This professional bilge pump filter is equipped with a powerful oil and chemical absorbent to absorb oils and chemicals. The special properties of this material ensure that all of these and other hydrophobic liquids are permanently bound.

Bilge water protection filter

The built-in and replaceable filter cartridge filters oil, petrol or diesel from the bilge water and uses a material developed in Germany which, due to its nature, attracts oil molecules and binds them permanently in the cartridge. This filter cartridge meets the requirements for oil binders according to the DEKRA test report (100 g of filter material bind 0.655 liters of oil) in terms of oil binding and holding capacity. It has a capacity of approx. 1600 g , which corresponds to the average amount of oil in approx. 40,000 liters of bilge water / bilge water .

Proper disposal

The oil separator filter cartridge absorbs up to six times its weight in oils and retains them permanently. Used filter cartridges must be properly disposed of as oil-contaminated waste.
