What are legionella?

Legionella are bacteria that grow in warm water and can cause severe infections. Especially in showers, legionella can be inhaled through aerosol formation. To minimize this risk, legionella filters can be used as shower filters.

How does the legionella filter / shower filter work?

The filter removes bacteria by retention. It is important to regularly maintain and replace the legionella filter to maintain effectiveness. Replacement filters must be changed at the latest after 3 months, depending on frequency of use and water quality.

Installation of the shower filter

Installing a legionella filter is very easy and can help reduce the risk of legionella infection from showering.

This particularly compact shower filter for protection against legionella is installed between the shower hose and shower head (1/2" internal thread / 1/2" external thread). Due to its slim design, the filter also fits low-profile shower fittings.
