The bluAqua iron filter cartridge lowers the iron concentration, reduces the hydrogen sulfide content, the metallic taste, and the odor of the water.

The dissolved FE² in the water is converted to FE³ and removed from the water by the filter. The filter uses hydrogen sulfide to oxidize Fe² to Fe³.

Water with too high iron content is the main cause of wear on industrial plants and household appliances due to deposits of so-called "scale". Iron salts damage textiles washed in such water and irritate the skin. Furthermore, too high iron content in water results in the formation of rust stains on sanitary installations.

• Iron filter cartridge raises the pH value and reduces the concentration of iron and manganese in the water
• Reduction of the following substances:
  • Iron (if the load of unfiltered water does not exceed 4.0 mg/l)
  • Manganese (if the load of unfiltered water does not exceed 0.1 mg/l)
  • Sulfite (if the load of unfiltered water does not exceed 0.9 mg/l)
  • Oxide (if the load of unfiltered water does not exceed 4.0 mg/l)
  • Chloride (if the load of unfiltered water does not exceed 4.8 mg/l)
  • Silicates (if the load of unfiltered water does not exceed 35.0 mg/l)
• Service life: Depending on the load of unfiltered water and flow rate approx. 3-6 months
• Recommended flow rate at approx. 3 bar pressure / 10,000 l/h.
