The Carbonit ILP Clario filter cartridge is a combined activated carbon membrane cartridge. It combines the special properties of a sintered activated carbon monoblock with the extremely fine particle filtration of a hollow fiber membrane. The underlying activated carbon block with a fineness of 16 µm ensures the adsorption of many dissolved contaminants in the water and the pre-filtration of particles, while the microfiltration membrane located above the activated carbon retains particles larger than 0.08 µm, including bacteria and viruses (e.g., coronavirus size approx. 100 nanometers)..

When do you replace the Carbonit ILP Clario filter?

According to DIN 1988, you should replace the Carbonit ILP Clario filter cartridge every 4 months. During this time, you can filter about 6,000 liters of water. If the water flow noticeably decreases, an earlier replacement may be necessary. In principle, you should replace the flat seals of the ILP Clario filter cartridge with every change. This ensures the system is always reliably sealed and can function as intended.
