The Carbonit ILP Puro filter cartridge is a combined activated carbon membrane cartridge. It combines the special properties of a sintered activated carbon monoblock with the extremely fine particle filtration of a capillary membrane. The underlying activated carbon block with 16 µm fineness adsorbs many contaminants dissolved in the water and pre-filters particles, while the microfiltration membrane located on top of the activated carbon retains particles larger than 0.08 µm, including bacteria and viruses (e.g., coronavirus size approx. 100 nanometers)..

When do you change the Carbonit ILP Puro filter?

According to DIN 1988, you should replace the Carbonit ILP Puro filter cartridge every 4 months. During this time, you can filter about 6,000 liters of water. If the water flow noticeably decreases, an earlier replacement may be necessary. In principle, you should replace the flat seals of the ILP Clario filter cartridge with every change. This ensures the system is always reliably sealed and can function as intended.
