Machine oils, gear oil, other oils and fuels (gasoline, diesel) accumulate in the bilge water of a ship and are the main cause of pollution in waters. Therefore, filtering of the bilge water is indispensable.

Replacement cartridge for BIG bilge water filter (BIG filter 10 inch)

This professional replacement cartridge for BIG bilge pump filters is equipped with a powerful oil and chemical binding agent for absorbing oils and chemicals. The special properties of this material ensure that all these and other hydrophobic liquids are permanently bound.

Bilge water protection filter

The filter cartridge filters oils, gasoline or diesel from the bilge water and uses a material developed in Germany which, due to its composition, attracts oil molecules and permanently binds them in the cartridge. This filter cartridge meets the requirements for oil binding and retention according to the DEKRA test report (100 g filter material binds 0.655 liters of oil). It has a capacity of approx. 1600 g, which corresponds to the average amount of oil in approx. 40,000 liters of bilge water / pump water .

Proper disposal

The oil separator filter cartridge absorbs up to six times its own weight in oils and retains them permanently. Used filter cartridges must be disposed of properly as oil-contaminated waste.
