ILP KKS limescale protection filter cartridge

The limescale protection filter cartridges contain a granulate with a catalytic effect to modify the limescale components dissolved in the water so that the limescale does not settle on the container walls, heating elements, etc. The mechanism of action of the limescale catalyst granulate is the formation of seed crystals from some of the limescale-forming components of the water. Once the seed crystals reach a certain size (approx. 10 µm), they are torn off the granulate surface by the water flow and are carried along freely in the water. If the conditions for limescale formation are present, these seed crystals serve as the starting point for the formation of limescale crystals. The majority of the limescale crystals are washed out with the wastewater. After evaporation, the limescale particles remain in loose deposits on work surfaces, fittings, tiles, shower partitions, wash basins and on the edges of shower heads and jet regulators. It is recommended to remove these with a microfiber cloth or household sponge. They can be easily wiped away within one or two days. Aggressive cleaning agents are not necessary.
