This 5 inch filter cartridge is equipped with a powerful oil and chemical absorbent for absorbing oils and chemicals. The special properties of this material ensure that all these and other hydrophobic liquids are permanently bound.

bilge water protection filter

The 5 inch bilge filter cartridge filters oils, gasoline, or diesel from bilge water and uses a material developed in Germany which, due to its composition, attracts oil molecules and permanently binds them in the cartridge. This filter cartridge meets the oil binding and adhesion requirements according to the DEKRA test report (100 g filter material binds 0.655 liters of oil). It has a capacity of 500 g, which corresponds to the average oil amount in approx. 12,500 liters of bilge water / pump water .

proper disposal

The 5 inch oil separator filter cartridge absorbs up to six times its own weight in oils and retains them permanently. Used filter cartridges must be disposed of properly as oil-contaminated waste.
